The Challenges

Fundraising Hit Hard by COVID

Hit hard by COVID, ASSISI could no longer raise money through traditional events like their annual galas and other in-person fundraising strategies. They were struggling to raise enough money to continue operating as they had been.

ASSISI needed creative ways to raise money digitally in order to keep their organization afloat. They approached Brew to help them generate new and effective ways to fundraise.

The SOLUTIONS

Initiating a Digital Campaign from Scratch
Conceptualized and Introduced the ASSISI E-Fun Day

Without the ability to hold in-person events, ASSISI needed a way to recoup the funding they typically raised at galas and Fun Day (an annual fundraising carnival). After tossing a few ideas around, we came up with the ASSISI E-Fun Day, a virtual platform where the community can enjoy the same fun and excitement of Fun Day – in the comfort of their own homes!

We helped to design the entire thing – from the layout to campaign mechanics and from vendor selection to the interactive microsite for participants. We even helped them come up with the idea for Lucky Draw, a game to raise additional funds and showcase vendors.

Sought Out Partners and Vendors

One of the most important aspects of the E-Fun Day was partners and vendors. Without the right vendors in place, the event couldn’t be a great success. So we worked with ASSISI to recruit partners through compelling and eye-catching pitch decks.

Rolled Out Facebook and Google Ad Campaigns

In a world marked by COVID, the only way to get the message out was through digital advertising. We designed compelling ads for Facebook and Google Display Network targeting unique audiences. We ran ads to relevant affinity audiences on Google and set up custom and retargeted audiences on Facebook to make sure our ads were showing to a wide, but appropriate audience.

Set Them Up with a Google Ad Grants

Google offers valuable ad grants to qualified nonprofits that allow them to run free ads. But getting set up and qualifying can be a difficult process. We helped ASSISI set up their Google Ad Grants Account and coached them through the most effective approach to campaigns, ad sets, and keywords in order to get the most out of the grant.

The Results

A Wildly Successful Event
ASSISI’s E-Fun Day helped them to raise over $800K so they could continue operating at normal capacity throughout COVID. They’re able to continue preserving dignity and quality of life for end-of-life patients.
