About Us

Marina Bay Alliance is a Business Improvement District (BID) programme where stakeholders utilise the public spaces of Marina Bay and collectively organise events to inject even more vibrancy into the precinct. Their goal is to cater to the communities’ social and recreational needs, fulfilling their vision to emerge as the best integrated business, employment, lifestyle and recreational destination of choice.

The Challenges

Their goal is to inject vibrancy into Marina Bay – but their social media presence wasn’t helping. Marina Bay’s events are only helpful if people attend them, and the businesses only thrive if people visit them. Marina Bay Alliance needed help promoting their events, efforts, and businesses in a compelling way on their social media platforms.
Most of their posts were fairly generic, using stock images or poorly designed graphics with inconsistent branding and colors.

The SOLUTIONS

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY

After analyzing the audience around Marina Bay and hearing more about Marina Bay Alliance’s goals, we put together a few key pillars our posts would revolve around:

Compelling and Eye-Catching Visuals

If we were going to compel nearby residents to visit and attend events at Marina Bay, our social media posts needed to catch their attention. And more than that, the creative needed to convince them these businesses, events, and activities were worth their time!

Creative Campaigns to Spotlight Multiple Businesses

Businesses are at the heart of Marina Bay. If they thrive, there’s a better chance of the precinct thriving as a whole. We ran a series of posts that highlighted multiple businesses around a single theme – like Wife Appreciation Day and Marina Bay’s best views.

Connecting with Local Influencers to Highlight the District

Local influencers have a special pull with their communities that we wanted to tap into. But we also knew that everyday Singaporeans’ opinions mattered too. So we combined the best of both worlds. Our team connected with Nikki Muller and had her interview members of the community who frequented Marina Bay to ask them some questions about what makes the precinct so great.
